Certificate Applicants

For graduate certificates, the following materials (listed below) are required. 

Be prepared to have them scanned and ready to be uploaded once you start the online application. If for some reason you are unable to have everything when applying: we still encourage you to start your application, but please note we will be unable to process it without having each item listed below.

Application & Fee

Complete the online application

When you start a new application select "Graduate Online/Distance".

The application fee is a one-time $55 fee.

Students may pay this fee with credit card after they submit their online application. After submitting an online application students will find the link to pay on their "Status" page. The application fee is waived for alumni. Students applying to continue on for their graduate degree after completing a graduate certificate do not need to repay the fee.

Statement of Purpose

2-3 paragraphs explaining why you are applying for this program.
Statement is to be submitted electronically on the online application; you'll copy and paste it into the provided text box.


Unofficial transcripts are sufficient for an admit decision. 

Upload your transcripts on the online application under your "Institutional Data". PDF scans are preferred.

The University will require official transcripts from all schools attended before a student may register for a second semester from S&T. In order for a transcript to be counted as official it must be sent directly from the school to S&T, it cannot come from a student.
